It makes maps with navigation for Garmin GPS mapping devices from ESRI shapefiles (GIS to GPS conversion), Google Earth KML and KMZ files, geotiff raster images, OziExplorer .MAP files, cGPSmapper .MP files, GPS eXchange .GPX file, OpenStreetMap .OSM files, Garmin GPS Database GDB files.

Mapwel includes editor and compiler of custom maps, editor of custom icons and MapUpload utility.
